What is the meaning of "una mariposa?" It simply means "one butterfly" or "a butterfly." I chose a butterfly because it symbolizes change or transformation. A caterpillar will go through metamorphosis and transform itself into a butterfly. A butterfly can fly and experience its old surroundings in a new and different perspective.
I myself have gone through a transformation from being a Graphic Designer who worked in the Dallas design industry for 10 years, who then turned to a different calling and became a Registered Nurse. Taking care of others enriches my life and gives me a new perspective, and yet my passion for design and my desire to be creative remains a large part of who I am. Each field brings me joy and presents unique challenges and most importantly, I'm always transforming myself by seeing things in a new perspective.
